Welcome to the Spring 2015 YA Scavenger Hunt! I’m O’Dell Hutchison, author of the recently released, Fingers in the Mist. (2/24/2015, Month9Books). You have reached a Team Teal stop.
The YA Scavenger Hunt is a way for YA authors to share exclusive content from their books and give you, our readers, a chance to win some pretty amazing prizes. I mean, who wouldn’t want a stack of books from your favorite authors? {Click Here} to learn more about the scavenger hunt and see all of the teams (there are EIGHT total). If you get lost on the hunt, this is also a good place to go to get your bearings straight.
Are you looking for my exclusive bonus content (HINT: Deleted Scene)? You’re going to have to keep looking. It’s on one of the Team Teal blogs.

And now the good stuff!
Joy Preble is a Texas girl who grew up in Chicago and a former high school teacher who now writes full-time, which means she gets paid for making up stuff. Unlike Leo in her forthcoming FINDING PARIS (Balzer and Bray/Harper Collins, April 2015), no one has ever left her mysterious notes. She is, however, a fan of cross-country road trips. Joy is also the author of the Dreaming Anastasia series (Sourcebooks) and the Sweet Dead Life series (Soho Press). In no particular order, she loves guacamole, pizza, banana bread, red wine, books, boots, her family, TV, movies, and the family dog.
EXCLUSIVE CONTENT
In FINDING PARIS (Balzer and Bray/Harper Collins, 4/21/15), Leonora (Leo) Hollings finds herself searching for her sister Paris, who goes missing in Vegas one night at the Heartbreak Hotel Diner, leaving behind an increasingly disturbing set of silver-sharpied messages. FINDING PARIS is a dark and twisty road trip story of how far two sisters will go to protect each other, of hope and loss and family, and how sometimes we can’t find our way until someone forces us to figure it out.
In the novel, Leo, accompanied by physics student Max, ends up on an unexpected road trip from Vegas to LA and back and then to points beyond. Although the Heartbreak Hotel Diner is a fictional creation, many places in the novel are real.
Here are 5 of my favorite real places and sights in FINDING PARIS!
1. The Paris Hotel
2. The Atomic Testing Museum
3. The Big Thermometer in Baker
4. Statue of Saint Monica in Santa Monica
5. Eiffel Tower of Paris, Texas
Now, don’t forget to enter the contest for a chance to win a ton of signed books by me, Joy Preble, and more! Remember, to enter, you need to know how many miles Joy allegedly rode on a unicycle. Add up all the favorite numbers of the authors on the teal team and you’ll have the secret code to enter for the grand prize!
Continue the hunt
Since you’re here, leave a comment and let me know which books you’re excited about winning.
